Bequests: A gift you make after your lifetime
One of the easiest ways you can leave a lasting legacy is by including a gift to Sutter Care at Home in your will.

Increase your retirement income, receive a tax deduction and support our mission of service and compassion by creating a gift annuity or charitable trust.
Retirement Plan Assets
Preserve your cash flow, avoid double-taxing your heirs and make a significant gift without writing a check.
You may contribute funds this way if:
You are age 70 and 1/2 or older at the time of the gift and own a traditional or Roth IRA.
The gifts total any amount up to $100,000, per year, per person. If a couple each has an IRA, they could donate a total of $200,000 to one or more qualified charities.
You transfer funds directly from an IRA. To qualify, gifts must be transferred outright to a charitable organization like Sutter Care at Home. You may not withdraw funds and then contribute them without incurring tax consequences. Distribution checks must be issued in the name of Sutter Care at Home, not to the account owner.
You can make the gifts now while you are living and able to witness the benefits of your generosity.
Gifts of Real Estate
Avoid capital gains taxes and reduce estate taxes by giving appreciated real estate. Rid yourself of the responsibilities of being a landlord by donating rental property. Create a new stream of income by placing an unused vacation home or other property in a trust that pays you for life.
Let Us Know About Your Planned Gift
